Ink City Location Post - The Steelhaven
Apr. 8th, 2012 11:21 pmThe Steelhaven is the flagship of the Autobot Navy and the pride of the Elite Guard. Usually under the command of Ultra Magnus himself, Sentinel has more recently been given the authority to take the ship on his own missions - at the Magnus's discretion, of course. As such, the Steelhaven will be appearing with Sentinel when he enters the city.

As you can see, this is a pretty decently sized ship - and it needs to be, given its function. Being a warship, it is both well-armed and well-defended, and one can be sure Sentinel will be diligent about keeping the force fields around it activated, in the hopes of keeping any unwanted organics from invading his territory. It's not as effective a deterrant as he would hope, though: enemies have been known to get through the shield by tunneling underneath.

Inside, the ship is clean, spacious, and functional. It has several available sets of crew quarters and, though designed with practicality rather than comfort in mind, is equipped with a wide range of Cybertronian amenities. It also contains its own brig - useful, if one should happen to capture any unruly Decepticons. All ship functions are governed from the bridge, shown above. It's not a good idea to try sitting in the captain's chair if Sentinel is around.
What most people do not know is that the Steelhaven is technically a living Cybertronian in its own right. It contains the dormant spark of Sigma Supreme, an Omega Sentinel who was bonded to Ultra Magnus and served alongside him in the Great War. Sigma Supreme has been in stasis lock since he was critically wounded in battle, and his body repurposed to serve in the Autobot space fleet. Sentinel should probably be aware of his favorite toy's true nature, but Autobot history is not exactly his strong suit...
